Roundabouts Cupcake Sleeves Review and Giveaway *CLOSED*

I had never heard of Roundabouts® when I was offered the chance to review them. I thought "Why would you not want cupcakes to look like cupcakes? Isn't that the point of them?" When I examined the website a little more thoroughly, and I received my sample to try; I got it! These are the fracking coolest things ever!

Before I get too into this review, let's get a little background info on Roundabouts® from Moon Cherie Inc. founder, Sheri Mersola:

I'm a busy mom of two that invented a new product called Roundabouts® Cupcake Sleeves and began selling online in Feb 2009. They're wraps for cupcakes that transform standard cupcakes into virtually anything.

Using toppings easily found at a grocery or local party supply store, our decorative self-adhesive cupcake wrappers instantly transform cupcakes into popcorn tubs, gumball machine, sushi, and ice cream cones. Our wraps are resistant to grease an oily substance, are earth friendly, and wipe clean if things get a bit messy in the kitchen! We’ve even had customers wash and re-use them, adhering a second time with a dab of frosting.

We personalize, customize and have not only been featured on Rachel Ray Magazine, we are proud winners of the Most Innovative Exhibitor Award at the 2010 July CA Gift Show in Los Angeles.

Check out a few of the awesome ideas that are shown on the Roundabouts® site:

How cool is that popcorn? Perfect for a Oscar party or premiere party (hint hint, Twilight fans. The new movie comes out in November!).

What a cute drum!

Talk about realistic looking sushi!

An adorable Easter basket!

What precious baby shower treats!

How yummy does that slider and those fries look?

Need something a little more elegant? Look at the beauty of the couture sleeves. Those are perfect for an elegant occasion like a wedding or an anniversary party!

Here's what comes in each package:

For my review, I received the Lil' Burger sleeve.

Following the icing tinting directions, here's how my cupcake turned out:
Yes, those are real sesame seeds on top!

My eldest son didn't see me making the cupcake, so I asked him if he was hungry. When he said he was, I gave it to him telling him "Here's a slider, enjoy." He was taken aback by the cupcake and stared at it for a bit, trying to figure out how I had done that. Gotta love it when you can surprise a know-it-all teenager. :)
