My Opinion of In a Small Town:In a Small Town is an extremely quick read. DiGiacomo paints an extremely well portrayed picture of how Matthew deals with being shot, his recovery, and resuming his job duties without plaguing us readers with unnecessary police lingo. DiGiacomo's police background is very evident in his writing. I must admit I laughed at the typical cops and doughnuts reference that popped up in the book. In a Small Town does have a cliff-hanger ending, but not in the typical chew-your-fingernails-off way. DiGiacomo ends In a Small Town in a perfect place, leaving the reader wanting more, but not ready to strangle him because he ended the book in a perilous place. I can't wait to read the next book.
